Well it is finally here.  Took 4 months to build but it was well worth the wait.  After seeing and playing this guitar Carvin has a customer for life.  Click for pics  www.billystewart.com/C66

The Carvin catalog is very drool-worthy.  Were price not an object, I'd have at least four or five Carvin axes and at least one Legacy and one V3.

Congrats on the axe!  It's gorgeous.

Hey Guys thanks for the comments.  I could not be more pleased with the guitar.  I am already specing out the next order which will be a DC727 7 string.  As far as cost goes you can't beat the price for what you get.  Yes I know you can get nice guitars for under 1000 but the quality is no where near what Carvin gives you for just a few hundred more.  The thing that moved me to Carvin was the choices I had.  I was going to get an Ibanez but you are so limited as to what you can get. That Carvin in the pictures was only 1200.00 and I got to choose everything from woods to finish to hardware and the electronics too.  The pickups are Carvin.  The bridge is the C22B and the neck is the C22J and the center is an AP11.  It has a 5 way selector switch and a phase switch for the humbuckers.  And to answer the last question the pictures were shot on the deck off the back of my house. I am still working on that thing.  Started building it last year but we keep adding on so I never seem to get done! I am gonna end up with more deck than house! Grin

Congrats!!Congrats!!Congrats!!Congrats!!Congrats!!Congrats!!Congrats!!Congrats!!Congrats!!Congrats!!Awesome guitar Billy!

I just recently ordered a DC747 myself and can't wait. I just hope it doesn't take as long as yours did. This would be my first Carvin guitar I've had and the first 7 string. I have had thier amps the Legacy and xb100(think thats the model what ever it was in the 80s) in the past. Unfortunately they were just more than what I really needed for hobbist/home use. Besides those suckers are LOUD! My poor ears =)

Hey have fun with it man, I really like the colours. Looks grear
congrats
But a little question why do the pickups have a huge amount of pole pieces, whereas dimarzio's or seymours have 6.

Or does it function like a rail?
