Took awhile but I got my strat up and running again. The new pickups sounds awesome. I do miss the originals though. I'll eventually get another strat, put this setup in that one and get this strat back to normal.

Some very nice instruments out there - I think I recognise a few sevenstring.org members' guitars! Anyway, sorry for reviving an ancient thread, but I just wanted to add my main guitars to the frey. My main 6-string is a Fender YJM Strat with an Air Classic in the bridge (the one on the right - recently sold the Daphne Blue YJM, as it simply wasn't being played). My two main 7s: Carvin DC727C - Made to my odd specs: Alder sides, maple neck, birdseye maple board, stainless steel frets, custom wiring (5-way lever and single volume) and a funky greenburst that I dreamt up all contribute to make this instrument very much MY guitar. In short: I absolutely love my 727 and it's been my undisputed go-to guitar for the year that I've had it. Ibanez HRG72-SOL (Ltd. Ed. made for Japanese chain Ikebe Gakki a couple of years ago). Oiled mahogany body and the fixed bridge distiguishes the HRG72 from the standard RG1527. I fitted mine with a Blaze Neck in the bridge and a PAF 7 in the neck. A few extra pics of my 7s - just because I can :p Hope you guys liked them! Cheers Eske

Thanks Paul - it really is a nice guitar. However, just like the 1527, it simply needs a PU change before you can get anything decent out of it... With the right PUs the tone truly is outstanding.

Dean Baby V. weight is light as hell. tone is heavey as hell. When I bought it, the price for a new one was 350 USD (it was about a year ago). Got this Blemished for 80 USD. This is my mess around with guitar. I'm going to learn how to finish a guitar on this, Put some GFS pickups in it (because sometimes i like my guitar sounding cheap ) and put new tuners on it to make it gigable.

TheNugeJr.: First of all, great username!
But that's one sweet JP axe. I didn't even recognize it as such, with such a different finish than usual.

Thanks Mike!! I didn't mind the previous JP's but when they came out with the BFR's with the burst's and such my jaw dropped and I could not resist whatsoever!
